Mark Lotterman is a singer-songwriter from Rotterdam. With his raw, intense and heartbreaking compositions Mark’s music seamlessly fits in with the greats like Leonard Cohen and Nick Cave. Mark began his career in 2001 at the age of 17 in a band with Simon Vinkenoog, one of Holland’s greatest poets. Between 2008 and 2012 he has released 3 solo-albums: Pain & Entertainment (2008), Better Things To Do (2012) and Funny (2012). All three records were received with good reviews by the national press. In between these albums Mark has played more than 30 shows through Europe. With his new record Lotterman really returns to the true essence of his artistry: all by himself, armed with just an acoustic guitar and his narrative lyrics. The album is called Year Without Summer and will come out in 2014 through Harlem Recordings.
